Congratulations to Malaysia’s Olympic contingent who have made our country proud in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.

The most remarkable Olympics of all time ended on the most brilliant of notes as Azizulhasni Awang bagged silver in track cycling men’s keirin in Shizuoka today, propelling Malaysia to the nation’s best performance ever in an Olympic velodrome.

In badminton, Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik took to the court in men’s doubles, emerging as bronze medalists after having defeated both world No. 1 and No. 2 pairings in the quarterfinals and bronze medal match. It was a memorable feat, as Malaysia’s first Olympic medal ever was also bronze in badminton men’s doubles during the Barcelona 1992 games.
